Re: [Peugeot-L] passing the buck -- 88 turbo

Depending on the engine, the throttle switch may have more than one function. The V6 has two switches in it, one closed at idle, the other closed at open throttle. The 87 turbo 505 N9TE had only the microswitch closed at idle. N9TE:
During deceleration with the microswitch closed and thermocontact open (60°C) and engine 1600 rpm+, injection ecu will stop operating injectors (to give enhanced engine braking and fuel consumption?).

The position of the switch can be adjusted to ensure it is closed at closed throttle only, specs for the adjustment for the ZDJL engine were in the Haynes manual from memory, someone may have the adjustment for the turbo. (also, has anyone got the adjustment specs for the 12 valve 605 V6 engine?)

Regards,
Kevin

The switch is stuck closed. What you are seeing is the ECU cutting   fuel as it thinks you are coasting. It only cuts fuel over 1300rpm...
