Hey guys.
for the past couple weeks I have not been driving my car due to it
stalling on idle. In an attempt to fix this, I noticed an injector
was leaking. I pulled it and noticed that the nozzle was basically
stuck to the nozzle holder. I think it was due to carbon buildup or
maybe a bad IP...not sure yet. Anyhow, cleaned it up and decided to
try some threadlock in hopes that it would cure the leak. I think it
did. The problem is I started up the car and suddenly, it just rises
as if I am flooiring the car. Rises in linear fashion and I have to
shut the car off in about 5 seconds because it doesn't stop increasing
(5000 rpms) and would go higher if I let it. What is going on here?
Any guesses? My gas pedal seems fine...ditto for the throttle linkage
(or whatever you call that thing that the cable is attached to) also
seems fine, not hitting againgst anything as far as I can tell. I'm
looking for suggestions on things that would lead to this erratic
behavior so I can try to pinpoint what exactly is going on here.
This thing is driving me crazy. I can't for the life of me figure out
what is going on. I recently purchased some new injector housings and
will attempt to see if that cures the
problem.
Perplexed.

ps Mike have not forgotten about your nozzles, just trying to see what
else might be the cause.
