There was some discussion recently about what the Mi on a 405 Mi16 stood
for.
Suggestions were that the M stood for Motronic, and the i for injection.
According to the president of the local Peugeot club, the M stands for
Motorsport and the i stands for internationale
Seems to make sense when you consider the BMW M3 etc.
Also, one of the BMWs came out with two 'i's eg 2002ii apparently for
Oninternationale injection....
