Everyone:
I took my 21 year-old Peugeot to be inspected since moving back toTexas
from Alabama. where no emission tests are performed. Unfortunately, the
hsrried technicioan told me that my car failed theemisions tests based
on th following:
Polutant High Speed Emission Results(25mph)
Low Speed Emission Results(15mph)
RPM: 1839
RPM: 1768
Standard Current Result
Standard Current Result
HC(ppm): 157 212 Fail
162 223 Fail
CO(%): 1.00 3.30 Fail
0.91 3.30 Fail
CO2(%): 12.9
12.9
O2(%): 0.0
0.0
Nox(ppm): 1121 274 Pass
1227 246 Pass
DILUTION: >6.0 16.2 Pass
>6.0 16.2 Pass
Gas Cap Missing: Yeas Gas Cap Testable: No GasCap Integrity Result:
Fail Safety Items: Fail
Needless to say, the overall result of this teast was a Fail.
Unfortunately, the young tech did not know what I could do to fix
thecause(s) of the test failure. I would be most obliged to hearyour
members' experiences with this sort of problem with their peugeotmotor
cars and any advice of how I might go about finding out what theproblems
are and how to correct the problems.
Best regards
Enrico.
