[Peugeot-L] Re: Advice on 405 Radiator Fans again

Dear Rabin and all others,
Thanks for the help. I now have two mails in favour of the fans not working when the car is switched off and two mails in favour of the fans working till the temperature goes down. Therefore, the statusquo  continues.. Then, why did my 309 GLD have the fans working after the switch-off...., so... I also remember this 'fan-continues-to-run- after-car-switched-off' thing from my uncle's '82 Honda Accord.

I guess the problem in my car lies in the fact that the mechanic has replaced the original radiator tank where all the sensors are placed with a copper one (the original, i suppose is plastic) and did not fit back the cut-out etc.. back in the same position. I will check with him and maybe get it re-fitted again. (Its just that I am so used to the sound of the fans working after switching the car off from my 309, and psychologically, it feels that it is better for the engine that way, especially in the searing heat of the Indian summer).

I just did a 70km round trip to my factory with the A/C on full blast on the expressway at about 100kmph and the temp gauge stabilised at 80 degrees. That sure seems fine...

Thanks,
