The roof in the wagon is higher than a sedan, and the door is taller to
match.
While a sedan door can be fitted to a wagon, it will leave a gap at the
top between the window frame and the door frame.
A wagon door will be too tall to fit on a sedan.
If you are want to get a better fit of the sedan door on the wagon, you
can cut the back of the window frame of the sedan door, and weld an
extra length in (from the presumably stuffed wagon door), then fit the
wagon window to the door. This will make the gaps smaller and not
immediately noticeable from the outside of the car, but still not as
good as the proper door. I suppose you could get a wagon door to sort of
fit a sedan by cutting it down and swapping the window too.
I would have thought that it would be easier to find a sedan door than a
wagon door.
