Hi all,
I am elated to report that the leftover plug came out intact with the
help of an "easy-out". I posted a picture of the easy-out with the
half-plug on top at http://autos.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/peugeotL
/photos/view/22de?b=2
I think it must have been a defective plug, because the threads showed
no signs of corrosion, yet it took very little effort on my part to
break it. Spraying one can of penetrating oil and letting it soak in
over three days was, I think, critical in the success of this
operation. The
Raduythreads were wet when the plug came out.
Many thanks to the group members who provided advice and encouragement.
