I have a set of 175R14 Michelin snows that I use. This was the size used on the pre 86
GL 505 sedans. They are slightly larger than the 185/70R14. I've never tried a 185R14;
the 84-85 505 SW stock tire. The only thing inbetween would be a 185/75R14.

I want to know what is the highest aspect ratio in tyres possible for a 405 on standard rims. Yes, I want the car to ride higher. The present size is 185/70/R14 88T. I want it to ride higher as my driving includes quite a bit of unpaved roads in rural India. A higher aspect ratio will also cushion the car better on rough roads. Also, I don't want to make any changes in the suspension set-up or anything like that..
