The 86 and up hose with the bigger hole in the crankcase breather inlet
is getting real scarce but I think the 85 version is still available
and will work for your 89 if the hole for the breather is enlarged.
I just checked Western Hemispheres website and they are out of both
versions.
If you do find one, one way to keep it from deteriorating is to wrap it
with a foil covered insulating type blanket to keep the rubber from
getting cooked by the exhaust manifold. I also fabricated a similar
type shield out of metal for the wastegate diaphragm capsule (thanks
George N. for the suggestion). I was amazed by the temps generated by
the turbo exhaust manifold and the poor protection for the rubber
parts in that area.
