Darn, I had forgotten that you had mentioned that. Should have suggested
that you retorque the head before doing the valve adjustment. The head bolts
on the 81/82 are not torque to yield and sometimes loosen up enough to let
some gas through to the cooling system. A retorque, when caught on time,
cures that.
