Dear All,
There is a faint possibility that I will get my hands on a '67 404
sedan (I don't know the rest of the model name). The car has
everything in place, including an original French A/c, but since it
was probably lying around for 15 years!?, it needs a complete
stripping and rebuild, restoration of the floorpan (rust has crept
in) engine overhaul, and many things such as tail-lamps, the peugeot
written on the dicky etc., are missing. (and God only knows what
else!)
I would like to know if it is worth getting my hands on it and if
there is anyone out there who would like to help me in this. I am in
India and therefore, things become doubly difficult.
I need sincere advice on this. The guy who is selling the car is in
desperation and he is planning to sell all his cars (most of which
are not running anymore) in bulk to a junk dealer. The cars he is
selling include Three 504s (none running), One 205 (not running),
One Toyota Cressida (running), One Ford Fairmont Australian Model
(running) and the 404 in question (not running). Incidentally, he
also has a Citroen CX 1979 (not running due to suspension failure).
He also has a Citroen Traction Avant (in excellent condition and
running great, but he is not selling!).
Advice advice......
