[Peugeot-L] Mi16 belt and AC tensioner

Bill,

I have it hooked up thus...
across the bottom from the crank to the ac then around the ac under the idler and up and around the alt.
The thing that seems crucial is max wrap around the ac to keep it from slipping
When my first idler kacked I removed it and put a shorter belt around the remaining 3.
This led to either an incredibly tight belt or a squeeling on the ac pulley

BTW: I have installed a $30 VW rabbit timing belt tensioner shimmed out in place of the Genuine $250 PSA tensioner. So far so good.

Bob

I just got mine back-
goes straight across the bottom of the crank and AC. Over the top of the crank it goes under the idler and up, forming a loop with the end which came up from under the AC.

the belt is still too long.
