There are sealers that will swell up oil seals which you can add to the engine oil.
This is not the same as BarsLeak which is for cooling system leaks
you add it to the rad...if you put this type of stuff in the oil....DON'T
If it is an XN6 I would start by replacing the valve cover seals and gasket
If it is a turbo it is probably the valve cover gasket
It is more likely that antifz be leaking from the head gasket area
and oil from the valve cover
Before you take the car back wipe it really clean

Subject: [Peugeot-L] Head Gasket Seal
I have a small head gasket leak (leaking oil out of the head gasket area and
down the engine -- illegal now in Maine) in a non-Peugeot. My inspector says
he has seen most of these sealed up all right with insertion of a container
of "engine stop-leak." He says to get an expensive one, as the cheap ones
really aren't as good (only sometimes work).
Confronting the shelf in my local parts store, I realize I don't even know
what this stuff should say on its label, much less what is "expensive" and
what is "cheap." Bar's makes one that is 2.95 USD -- cheap enough, and I
have been successful with their radiator stop-leak product. Then there is
one called "No-Leak" from the makers of Stabil and Heet, at 5.99 USD, twice
the price of Bar's, but still sounding inexpensive in comparison to some
additives and certainly to a head gasket replacement!!
Any comments from anyone who has been there, or who was too scared to
consider putting anything but oil in the crankcase!!??
Thanks,
Gene
Still trying to find time to work the Lions back up to roadworthy status.
