Hello,
I've got a 1986 505 Turbo where the dump gate actuator is seized at the
pivot point connecting the vacuum motor linkage to the turbo gate pin. I've
tried WD-40 to free this joint up but to no avail. I expect a bit of heat
from a propane torch would do the trick but before I do that, I thought I
should check if the heat from this might damage the turbo. I think I could
aim a torch fairly accurately on the frozen joint, but no doubt some of this
heat would travel down the turbo pivot.
Any advice appreciated!
