Actually they use what's called 6.5 oversize, which basically means
6.75. Which also means they are a lot less common than either 6.5 or 5.5.
I used Blaupunkt Velocity components.......tweeter being separate, I
mounted them where the factory tweeters go.
But since the woofers are just woofers, they fit perfectly in the
factory locations with the factory grilles.
I still have these speakers with crossovers if anyone is
interested. One of the tweeters is broken (I was trying a
different mounting style) but you could use the woofers and
crossovers and get new tweeters if you want to.
