There is a kind of creaking noise (its not really creaking, but it is
difficult to describe in any case, creaking is the closest that I can
think of, almost sounds like opening a wooden door very slowly like in
horror movies) which can be very clearly heard inside the car when I
turn the steering. I suspect that it has something to do with the
power steering, as the noise tends to disapper when the car is not on
and I turn the wheels. The belt driving the pump is fine, so are the
suspension arms etc. (Is something running dry?) The response from the
power steering is also fine. What could it be and how dangerous would
it be for the car. I have a 700 + 700km trip waiting for next week.
(incidentally, I have already driven the car in this state for more
than 500kms without any problems).
Thanks to everyone in advance,
