from memory, it is the master cylinder that is not serviceable. There are other parts such as the pressure ball and pump which can be replaced. Check the archives, this has been discussed before, you should find some info there.

  Hello everybody,

  I've got a substantial brake fluid loss from underneath the master   cylinder in my '88 505 V6 STX. The car shop wants to put in a new ABS   unit/assembly. Is this thing un-repairable, i.e., a rubber gasket   fails and one has to buy a $2,500 part to get the car going again?   Also, anyone has ever had ABS changed to non-ABS? How much can I   expect to pay a shop for that operation. Thanks.
