Why get so excited over 15% fuel savings when the fuel itself costs
that much more? Besides, most folks don't have a clue what it takes to
maintain one of those nice old 505/504 diesels, or a MB 190d/300D for
that matter. Sulphuric acid has already taken it's toll on the internal
engine alloys, because the oil didn't get changed every 3K [by the
original or more likely 2nd owner... Countless cold starts accelerated
the process of deterioration. Then there are the particulate
emissions...
