Sure. The lift makes the job easier but not neccessary. In fact I
can't think of any operation on 505 that requires the use of lift.
It's not Peugeot but I managed to drop the complete front end assembly
including engine, transmission, suspension, subframe the whole thing
under the car without using a lift. Many thought it's impossible but I
raise the front end of the car high enough using a engine crain and
used couple of floor jacks to lower the assembly.
Nothing is impossible!
