Amsoil is a semisynthetic for the diesels. My experience with it is that it
reduced oil consumption and increased mileage by at least 10%, easier cold
starts and much cleaner engine. Mobil 1, I'm not impressed with, gas or
diesel. My diesels seem to love drinking up Kendall, Rotella and Pennzoil.
Better results with Quaker State, Castrol and Valvoline.Two of my diesels
have over 700K kms on them and the oil pressure is still where it was when
new.
