[Peugeot-L] '85 505 TD

OK Peugophiles, I need help with a decision. My '85 505 TD is tired. I have made a deal for a '98 Chev Malibu with 15k miles for $3500.00. My wife is saying that we can't afford having eight vehicles on insurance with only four drivers.

So now on to the help I need. I have to decide whether or not to part out my Peugeot.

Here are the parameters. The car has 144k miles. The car has been through a large hail storm (tennis to baseball size) so every body panel is hammered. The sun roof is sealed shut. It uses about a half gallon of coolant every 400 miles (none in oil).It uses no oil between changes. I think the steering rack is growing some slop. It has a re-sealed injector pump that I paid $400.00 to have done. It has a new master cylinder. The radiator has been flow tested and is sound. It has 1 new wiper arm. The tires have about 1/4 to 1/3 life left on alloy wheels. The transmission is sound. I have modified a Ford vacuum pump to fit the engine. The fan bearings gave up so I removed the assy. and added an electric fan. That's all I can think of for now.

What do I do? Sell as a unit or part it out?

Thanks for your help, Robert.
