I have to take my 92 405 3 times a year for emissions testing. I always do the same procedure: clean plugs, clean oil slightly low on the dipstick, very thorough warmup, go off rush hours, and keep idling until testing.

By very thorough warmup I mean I take the highway to the testing station in 2nd gear at about 35-45mph for the last 2 or 3 miles.

I always pass, except when the &^&^%$% choke gets stuck closed, and thats normally when the coolant is low (air in system) :)
