Check your vacuum pumps, more than likely a blown diaphragm

Hi All, both my 405 TD's have brake probs. Both seem to be lacking
servo assistance on occasions (increasingly). Concentrating on my
daily car, it has no power assistance at low revs, instead the pedal is
fairly firm, and depressing it is causing a hissing noise at the
servo.. also I get a similar symptom at high speed, if I pump the pedal
2/3 times..(dangerous really)
Are the servo's on these pugs a weak point? My other car has very
similar symptoms.. Is it feasible, possible, to repair a servo or
should I just pay £20 for a good used one?
