Dear John
for me this sounds like a worn out diaphragm .. this happened to one of my
504 s 'n my mechanic replaced the diaphragm without replacing the whole
servo unit.
so it is feasible to replace the diaphragm. And more of all in 405 the angle
they designed and fitted the servo unit is the reason for this servo
problems.
since if you have a slightly leaking break master pumb washers then the
servo will be filled with break fluid which can be then harm the diaphragm.
so always
make sure that washers 'n sleeve of the break master pump is good enough 'n
no leakages.
