Here's what I've learned on 505 wagon exhaust from the cat back:
- Desortex aftermarket: $225 front section; 73 middle section; 120 rear section.
Desortex OEM $285 friont; 92 middle; 168 rear.

- Bosal from Bap-Geon: $175 front; 85 middle; 130 rear.
- Autosport "aftermarket to OE specs": 225 front; 110 middle; 189 rear.
OnI've ordered the Bosal. No freight charge. 1 day wait. Hope it isn't too loud.....

I started to check out exhaust (cat back) last December, but ended up out of
town for 4 months and apparently missed my reasonable opportunity.
At that time, I recall the parts from Radu (Disortex) were a bit > $200.
But he couldnąt answer my hangar needs. The current support is the Exhaust
Manifold and the tail pipe hangar. Not good!
I just got a quote using specific aftermarket parts from Eurocar in
Portland, Oregon (Peugeot parts no longer available) running $400-$500,
including hangars and new exhaust manifold gaskets. Dave there said the
critical part is the pipe that crosses over the axle, and his experience
with most aftermarket/other exhaust shops (łyou can take your chance˛) has
been marginal.
$400-$500 for exhaust is a rather marginal ROI on a 19 year old car; wasnąt
there a recent thread on why people sell their Peugeot? <g>
So I, too, solicit advice, suggestions and sources.
