You know, the thing that would make me out for blood is the fact that he blatently vandalized the car by cutting up the seats! I mean, I can understand stealing the radio, the punk can get something for it, but cutting the seats gets him nothing except the knowledge that he is denying YOU something. Stealing is one thing, but the destruction of property for no other reason than to just be destructive suggests that this punk is truly a sociopath and deserves to be put away. A sociopath is not going to (easily) change, and mere slaps on the wrist certainly won't do anything except make punks like this MORE likely to try to get revenge for their punishment. At least on _some_ level, theft is constructive (definitely not for the victim, though), but vandalism is never constructive on any level.

  I would persue this as far as possible for that simple reason. If the punk had merely stolen the radio, it wouldn't bother me as much.

  Just my thoughts, and worth what you paid for them!
