Ya, I'm distinctly unhappy about the vandalism. I would have meted out
some extra physical means of displeasure if I wasn't thinking about his
future in our criminal justice system. Hopefully, I made the right
decision.
And yes, I entirely agree with you that he needs an abundance of
negative feedback afforded by our penal system. There are a number of
people working towards that goal.

You know, the thing that would make me out for blood
is the fact that he blatently vandalized the car by
cutting up the seats! I mean, I can understand
stealing the radio, the punk can get something for it,
but cutting the seats gets him nothing except the
knowledge that he is denying YOU something.
