Kit,
You are in the usual failure mode! The driveshaft splines simply fail
without notice. Not uncommon with the V6. V6 driveshafts are longer than
4 cylinder ones; V6 5-speed is longest of all, so can't be made by
shortening any other shaft. Which transmission does your car have?
