At this point in my life I have to get rid of my 505 wagons- an '86
Turbo and an '87 Liberte. They will be free for the taking. The Turbo
was given to me sans cylinder head. I found out how much it was going
to cost to register them since the previous owner didn't keep up the
NonOp, and decided it just wasn't worth the hassle or the expense.
The XN6 was a reasonably reliable car, but the tranny started giving
problems. That, coupled with the dire need for a front end rebuild
and the fact that the car was in pretty poor shape by now (I bought
it cheap and ran the hell out of it for about 80K miles- it has about
230K), well, it's time. Personal reasons forced me into buying a
newer, more reliable car immediately. The idea was to combine the two
into one decent car. Yah- famous last words and all that. Absolutely
no place to put the two plus the need for a newer car put paid to
that idea. The Turbo is mostly all there except the cylinder head and
cam. The body is reasonably straight (the worst being the floorpan
under the rear seat was bottomed out) and the interior is in decent
shape, but the leather is dry. The Liberte is a hard used car, but
still runs. Both the front and rear have suffered damage. The front
was pulled enough to make the car drivable, but the rear never was
fixed- the floor under the rear carpet is wrinkled. On the plus side,
the fuel pumps are about a 11/2 years old, the exhaust from the
converter back is a year or so. You will also get about 2/3 of a tank
or so of gas! These cars have to leave immediately if not sooner-
email me if you're interested. I will NOT ship. I will NOT break
these cars down for individual parts- I do not have the time to mess
with that. I live in San Diego- so I realize this will limit
my 'market'. I need to get these off the street- I have tired of
parking tickets for them. But- come claim them, and they are yours.
