I've been using RedTek R12A for the last 5 years in Peugeots, my trucks and farm equipment without a hitch. What I especially like, is that you can hook up the air pressure from the compressor ( shop compressor) to check for leaks with soapy water, let the air out, then charge the system without having to vacuum it.
