Hello all,
I just disassembled my injection pump to replace the front shaft seal,
reassembled everything and installed it on the car. The car runs
great, but occasionally it idles quite fast (probably 1500 rpm) in
park or neutral. If I put it in gear, it idles back down to normal.
The throttle cable, throttle arm stop (idle speed screw) and deferred
injection accumulator linkage have all been adjusted, but the problem
persists. If I disconnect the deferred injection accumulator and move
the throttle arm, I can rev the engine higher but it won't return to
low idle (900rpm).
What could it be??? Any ideas? Thanks!
