It is possible to remove the steering wheel lock w/o destroying it.
Remove the plastic cover
Remove the 7 mm headed bolt through the lock housing into the lock.
There are pins that come out of the lock cylinder and protrude into the
steel housing that it sits in.
If you cut open one side of the holes you can bend the housing up so the lock will slide out.
I use a Dremmel with a small carbide disk.
You can unscrew the sw from the back of the lock and start the car and drive it with a
screw driver.
The lock may have the code stamped on it
You are looking for 6 letters of the following M, N, P, R, & S
With these letters a lock smith should be able to cut you a new key
Or
I may have a whole matched set for an 84.

Hello all,
I have lost all the keys for my 505, and am wondering if anyone has
dealt with this situation and what my options are?
Is it possible to (non-destructively) remove the ignition lock? I
wouldn't mind replacing the ignition and door locks as the passenger
side lock is busted due to an attempted break-in. Maybe I need to have
the ignition lock picked to get it off?
The trunk isn't locked, so I assume I can replace that lock without too
much trouble.
The other alternative is to have a locksmith make keys. Has anyone had
success or failure with this? I expect I'll need to order blanks, as
locksmiths won't have them. There's 2 eBay sellers offering these -
jaggraveyard (jaggraveyard.com) and keys4classics (keys4classics.com).
Has anyone bought blanks from either of these?
I have a week or two to get this sorted out (thank goodness). Thanks in
advance for any advice / suggestions.
