Sounds very interesting!

I'll check later what's the part number in my 1985 505 Turbo but a document
called "Peugeot 505 Turbo Injection N9TE - Technical Description" says it's
a Bosch 0 280 140 110.

At least one long hose should be connected to the heater control vacuum
reservoir but the one you see in the owner's manual should be a different
hose (only about 15-20 cm) and should be connected to the throttle body,
there's a connector just underneath it.

In the factory setup there are no blow off valve. In newer Turbos with the
N9TEA engine (model year 1986- in Europe, and maybe 1988- in US, correct me
if I remember incorrectly?) there's an electrovalve adjusting the control
pressure of the wastegate which controls the boost pressure. I don't know
what this electovalve looks like and where it's located. Maybe the
switch/valve in your engine is this electrovalve or some custom
modification?
Do you know if the engine is from a 1985 or 1986 (I think they started
selling these in summer 1985 in Europe) model year car or is it maybe from
an US model? Take some pictures, it should make identifying parts easier.
But don't post them to list because they are automatically removed at least
from "the daily digest form" that I'm reading. If you don't have any space
in the Internet where you can put those pictures, just e-mail them to me and
I'll put them in my web site for the others to see.
I've put some 505 related material (brochures, manuals etc.) in my web site,
they should help you with your project:
http://peugeot505.info/
I'll take some pictures from the engine of my car later tonight and let you
know when I have put them to my web site.
