[Peugeot-L] rust never sleeps - 505 rear suspension arms; Fulda tires

I have experienced a couple of times, the errie feeling (and cost!)of failing trailing arms in 505s....ug. NE salt at its best.

Is there anything to do to slow or stop same?

OnDoes anyone have any experience with FULDA H rated tires?...they are supposedly popular on sporty VWs and they are a bargain. Mfgd in Poland. Im shopping for tires soon to replacer the 6-10 yr old S-T rated stuff that came on my recent 86 505 sti -- I don't want to ride on washboards (Boston area roads are pretty bad) but would like some handling response improvement. Any recommnedations??
