Howdy, I recently acquired a 1980 504 wagon, and a 1980 sedan, both
with diesels. The wagon has a great exterior/interior, the motor is
shot. The sedan is the opposite. I need some input on the feasibility
of swapping motors. They appear to be basically the same, with some
injector hold downs and a slightly different configuration on the
injection pump. The Head numbers are the same, 7940103012, with the
1980 having XD2 prior to that. Any help out there? Thanks, Alan.
