Peugeot is not the first in bolting engines together, Matra did that
also at the Bagheera "U8" that should appear in 1976: They took 2 1294
ccm-engines from the Bagheera with 2 alternators, 2 starter-motors, 2
distributors and 4 (!) Weber 36 DCNF to bring the car to about 280 hp.
Both prototypes were sold to private people in the 70´s and they had to
buy them back for a lot of bucks to have them for their own museum. One
of them is standing in the Matra-Museum in Romorantin, the other one was
in the new galvanic-factory of Matra ( Romo 3 called )..

But they did build it. And that is all, just one car, to be driven for a
bit and them parked up in the Peugeot museum.
Apparently it is unusual for car makers to make fully functional concept
cars, usually they are not able to be driven. Not so the Peugeot Oxia
and the 907, both of which were driveable, and very fast!
The 907 has a V12, apparently it is basically two PRV V6s bolted
together according to DW. Anyone else on the list tried that?
