Just read the post where you mention this. I'm a bit behind on my
list reading...
Do you mean I should get the car to operating temps and do this? I
can tell you that on the way back from Sacramento, about a 3.5 hr
drive, the car was getting quite hot and yeah, I did do the high
heater trick in order to cool it off some..it worked. Temp went down
significantly.
I guess, I could disable the fan and run on idle for a while and keep
my eye on the coolant overflow hose. The thing is, it's losing enough
water that it the coolant level is significantlhy below the outlet for
the over flow hose...
side note: I think this car has had a cracked head repaired in the
past. The orevious owner kept impeccable service records.
