Tony,
Have you tried to have yours re-cored? There should be a good radiator shop in your area that can do this. I had the one in my 86 505 Turbo SW re-cored several years back and it only cost $100 and one day without my car.

I'm going to be optimistic and assume that it is my radiator and not
the head that needs to be replaced. Former owner said as much and
with the help of this list (thank you list!), it points to that.
anyhow, western hemispheres has a new radiator for my car listed at $445! OUCH!
so I am wondering what are my options. If I can find a used one I
guess that is one, but if not - is there a suitable replacement
radiator, either new or used that would fit my vehicle. (wish I had
that interchange manual that I've been meaning to get off ebay for a
while now)
again...86 505 TD with auto tranny.
Still trying to get all the kinks ironed out of this baby..
