Thanks guys.
I should mention that previous owner said this radiator could not be
recored, something to do with the design of it. I will find out the
exact technical reason from him..btw, he used to be on peugeot list
back in like 99 or so. The previous owner to him liked to "mod" the
car. One thing he did was put in different radiator, not sure why.
It is a Behr unit, but it does say peugeot on it - 91 53 506 980. It
"looks" like the peugeot rad for this car, but I was told by him it
was not. No idea on that.
Thanks for the rad cap tip. It has one of those locking aftermarket
types on it, so I don't think it's 15 yrs old. I am running the
vehicle right now and seeing if, I can find where the coolant is
leaking from. I hope it's just going out the overflow tube because of
blocked rad.
btw, what on a rad can fail? other than it leaking, there aren't a
whole lot of parts in there and if it's clogged, can't it be unclogged
fairly easily?
Buying a "new" 20 yr old car can be quite the strange experience..
more questionst to follow soon.
