Are you sure it isn't six? I've never heard of a seven.

The manual will tell you the cause of a six is "No load signal emanating from the injecion E.C.U". So what does that mean?

The checks the book says to perform are the electrical circuit continuity between pin 8 of the ignition ecu and pin 6 of the injection ecu, or to check with different ecu's if you happen to have them on the shelf.

Fuel injection is both complex and simple, but worth understanding. At least the basics.

I have had the detonation sensor blinking like a like a Christmas tree on three significant occasions on two different turbos. The way I fixed it? I found broken wires or bad connections.

A common "bad" place are the wires at the top of the coil. I would recommend looking there first. Get a decent set of wire crimpers and some new terminals, and redo those if they look original. I also recommend cleaning and reseating all the connections in the engine bay. It doesn't cost any money beyond the simple tools. It will take a long time, though. (I got lucky one time, because after I did it, a cold start problem that had been frustrating me was gone). You will learn to curse the little wire clips holding the sensor terminals. Start checking all wires related to the injection and ignition first- coil, distributor, ecu's, afm, etc.

When you get the book, get the latest version, if you can, that includes the N9TEA. It has a lot more information on the engine than the earlier versions.

Good luck and keep us posted.
