Hello All,
Recently my 85 505 STI US spec developed some strange behaviour.
During long highway drive,let say 3 hours non stop drive when I stop
for gas
car refuse to start,I can not activate starter using ignition switch.
The only way to start engine is by opening the hood and connecting
starter solenoid to + battery using length of wire-(ignition ON).
When engine cools down to ambient temp car starts normally.
Is the starter wire harness equipped with some relays or some other
device??
One other thing I've notice that main cooling fan is not locking up,
only auxiliary electric fan is working.
