Goal: a 505 Turbo wagon with an '86 - '88 interior (no airbags or
automatic seatbelts), 5spd and '89+ exterior styling.
Plan: Take my '88 505 GLS 5spd wagon and upgrade the shocks/springs
from a 505 Turbo, locate a set of 15" rims and maybe even retro-fit a
turbo to my 2.2i motor. Maybe even retro-fit the bumbers/ground
effects from a '89+ donor.
Questions: Can the 2.2i motor handle a turbo? Are there
longevity/durability/reliability issues to consider? If the donor
Turbo had ABS and mine doesn't (don't want it either), will there be
compatibility issues? Can the BA/7 tranny handle the extra 30
horsepower from a Turbo motor?
