You're in for an excruciating big job. At the back bottom of the shifter,
there is a small phillips (star shaped) screw, remove that and lift the
shifter off, install the new shifter and put the screw back in. Since you're
working on your own car instead of a customer's, if it's anything like mine,
that'll a take you a week to do

a few days ago I purchased a new shift lever for our 505 V6 Auto because
the upper skin of the lever is broken several times. The question is -
anybody who replaced the lever and knows what time-afford the
replacement makes ? Don´t like to start in the naive way to discover
that you better take a week of vacancy for the work...
