[Peugeot-L] Mi 16 hard starting

Mi 16 fans:
I have noticed with the change of season that my '91 Mi 16 with 88,000 kilometres is being a bit balky starting in the morning. I usually now crank for 1-2 seconds, let up on the starter for a second more and she then starts with a bit of a cough on the second try. She runs perfectly after that and no more hard starting until the first start of the day. The plugs, distributer cap, plug wires were changed about 10,000 km ago. I put a ohmeter on the plug wires and read 400 - 600 ohms. ( I need to double check this as I didn't zero my mutitester, I now realize, and the car is away today) There is no moisture in the plug wells, no oil leaks either. Does this sound like an electrical gremlin or fuel?? Since the car had been starting on the first try since we've had her, this new development is disturbing my wife who usually drives the Mi 16. I would appreciate a few suggestions from anyone with more experience than I in this area. This is my first gasoline Peugeot since my 404 and I definately feel more comfortable with the 504 and 505 diesels in determining faults. Thanks,
Dan
