[Peugeot-L] 505 turbo - engine ground points and fruikey wiring?

I'm contemplating going at the power distribution/ground points on my car. It really ain't broke, but I did have to jury-rig the power distribution "Anderson type power pole" connectors right next to the positive terminal on the battery. I'm thinking of fusing these with this:

Item 47070

After reviewing the factory diagram, I'm thinking that there a couple of overloaded wires. Specifically #1 off the power distribution. I swear it's got some 80+ amps running through what looks like to be a 12 gauge wire.

  A bunch of questions:

Has anybody redone the power distribution wiring?

Has anybody come across or created a WIRE COLOR reference table? Wire numbers are only at the ends of the loops.

What's your favorite wire marking system?

Where are the engine ground points for the engine? The factory manual only labels a few of them!

Interested in your opinions!
