My manuals say that the automatic already has a starter solenoid relay. Is this not the case? If it is there maybe you just need to replace it with a new one?

wire 46 energizes the starter from the ignition, and it runs with one other wire into the harness. Simple to find, got juice from the positive junction, cut 46 to run the solenoid, and left the rest of 46 to the starter.
