Excellent idea, but rather than relocating why not put a smaller tank
in the same local. It would save you the routing /wiring issues. I seem
to remember that my old 80's toyota had a tank about a quarter the size
of the peugeot's and had a similar mounting set up. They would be
plentiful at the scrappers.
What is wrong with the battery hold down on your car? I've always
thought peugeot's set up is pretty good.

res. and it's still half full.
