[Peugeot-L] 87 505 N9TE Overheating

The first steps I took were to ensure the radiator was not clogged, the water pump was turning and three fans were electrically engaging. The radiator was not clogged. I indeed had water flow from the water pump but the fans were intermittent due to a poor home made electrical connection. I also changed the oil temperature sensor. And due to the information received I installed the thermostat (Thanx)  When the electrical connection was fixed the problem for the water temperature was resolved. However the oil temperature still goes very high (the red mark).
I drove my car over 100 miles in the pleasant valley's night weather. The water temperature stayed between the first mark and never above the middle mark. Once again, the oil temperature stayed in the red. Today I will check the ignition timing and electrical wiring, especially the grounds (I had a lot of lighting gremlins last night).

                   Lloyd
