there is a brass contact ring on the rear of the pulley hub
touch 12 v to it
The clutch should clunk and lock up
If not the hub magnet is bad
This will not tell you anything else
like if the thermal sw is good
if the brush that contacts the ring is good
if the whole setup is getting juice

Does someone know how to test the declutchable cooling fan? I changed the water pump and the contact on the hub (declutchable cooling fan solenoid? )
The fan turns ( freely? )but I'm not sure it engages when the engine is hot.
