Thanks Martin and Bob.
For years I have read with passing interest (both for Saabs and Peugeots)
about the relay starter fix without paying it much mind, but I think I will
finally get around to trying this..along with cleaning and chaning out
cables as need be.
Can anyone hazzard a guess why my glow plug light just goes out as soon as
key is turned though? I keep thinking that somehow the starting probs and
the glow plugs are related. Also, does anyone know the actual voltage that
should be recieved at the starter solenoid trigger wire? One last thing, I
have read how to test glow plugs with car off (using resistance
measurements), but is there a way to test that current is flowing through
them (other than feeling the head) - say using an ammeter (at the first and
last one)?
I hope to be smelling the town up with BioD exhaust if all goes well.
have a great weekend all.
